2007 Rice Lake Speedway Track Rules
Smith-Bisonette, Inc. would like to thank all the drivers, pit crew members and fans for participating at the Rice Lake Speedway this 2007 racing season. Please take a few moments to read the following track rules:
· Anyone entering the pits will be issued an armband which must be attached prior to entering and must be visible at all times.
· Track personnel reserve the right to inspect haulers. Anyone not possessing an armband will be asked to leave the facility with possible suspension.
· There will be a designated area for non-reserved parking. All reserved parking must be paid for on the first racing event or the spot will be sold to someone else. If you do not pay for a reserved parking spot, you must park in the non-reserved parking area. Anyone who has a reserved parking spot, but does not intend to have a car at the track must specify which car will be parking in their reserved spot for the entire year or the spot will remain empty.
· The cutoff time to receive a draw ticket at the entry gate (at the time the car comes through the gate) will be ONE hour prior to scheduled start time. NO TOLERANCE ON THIS RULE. If your car is not at the track you will not receive a draw ticket and won’t be able to draw for your starting position. We will allow a 5 minute grace period after the cutoff time to get to the draw window. Upon drawing you will be required to present your draw ticket. If you lose your draw ticket you will be put to the back. There won’t be any replacement draw tickets issued for any reason. You will also be required to present your WISSOTA license prior to drawing.
· To be eligible for A-Feature competition
Must have completed one of the following:
- Drawn for heat race position -or-
- Competed in a qualifying race (heat race / B-Feature if needed)
· All first time participants will be required to fill out a W-9 Form and a sponsor card before they will be allowed to draw.
· All cars will be required to pack the track (minimum of five laps). Failure to pack the track will result in going to the back of your heat race.
· The Pit Stewart will line up all cars prior to going on track. Upon entering the track, drivers will line up behind the pace truck immediately. The pace truck will be stopped in turn one. Anyone who enters the track after the pace truck has already started to move, shall fall in the back of the race. Straight ahead alignment (no criss cross) will be used to realign if there is a car that fails to enter the track on time.
· Any driver determined to have jumped the start will be penalized two positions at the pay window. If you jump a second time in the same race, you will be disqualified.
· Any car that race officials feel intentionally spins out to protect their position on the first lap, will be put to the rear. Races will be realigned double file until the race is half completed or two cautions which ever happens first.
· After the second caution we will start single file with the use of the cone. Do not be surprised if you spin out and the race is NOT stopped. If you spin out and stop on the track in order to stop the race, you will be disqualified.
· Races will be started at the chalk line coming out of turn four. The pole sitter will set the pace on the parade lap.
· Passing the pace car at anytime will cause you to be disqualified.
· Only authorized track personnel are allowed in the infield during the racing program. After each race the driver and two pitmen are allowed to be in the infield.
· Any driver or pitman who harasses or abuses any board member or track official will be subject to suspension from the track. This includes any harassment to an official or board member at their regular place of employment or in their free time away from the track.
· THE DRIVER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ACTIONS OF HIS PIT CREW IN ALL RESPECTS. THE DRIVER SHALL BE THE SOLE SPOKESPERSON FOR HIS/HER CAR OWNER AND PIT CREW IN ANY AND ALL MATTERS.
· There will be a designated work area for working on your car during the A-Feature races only. There will be NO two lap rule, if you can change your tire and get back on the race track before the pace truck pulls off the track, you can fall in line at the rear of the field. We will not wait for anyone to change tires or perform work on their cars during a caution.
· All claims will take place in the tech area of the infield. After claim is final, car will remain in the infield until engines are removed from the cars and exchanged. Removal of engine will be done in the claim area. NO EXCEPTIONS! All tear downs will be handled in the same manner.
· Muffler rule of 100 decibels at 100 feet will be STRICTLY enforced in all classes.
